This week is a VERY slow week in both pins and parks news. In fact, there is no pin news this week, but there is a small piece of park and Vinylmation news.
Lets get started…
First we have a new theme park announcement, Toy Story—the Musical is coming to Disney’s California Adventure in 2011. It was announced yesterday that the Hyperion Theater’s hit show, Aladdin—A Musical Spectacular is closing for good in 2010 and Toy Story—the Musical, the show from Disney Cruise Line that has not gotten the best reviews, is taking its place in 2011. There are talks that it will be tweaked a bit for the theme park, but who knows. 
In other Disney Parks news we have some more DLR news, this time coming from Downtown Disney, coming is a new shop, kind of like Disneyland’s version of WDW’s Tren-D. Here is more information on the opening of the shop on December 15th.

December 15, 2009A place where urban art inspired product "intersects" with a Disney creative edge. This raw, unfinished industrial style space will showcase a mix of Disney inspired art created by local and underground artists. Also up for grabs is cutting edge apparel, pop culture novelties, vinyl figures, collectibles and more.
D Street will feature Disney vintage looks from Disney Couture, urban styles and artwork from Bloc 28, Surf and Skate inspired apparel, artwork and accessories, as well as Star WarsTM tees. Also available at this new hot spot are some of the latest offerings from jewelry designers such as Tarina Tarantino and Classic Hardware as well as fashions from labels like Mighty Fine and Harajuku Lovers. The location will also be home to the work of one of Southern California's local Artists, Noah. Noah draws his inspiration from his love of Disney as well as his love of the forgotten era that we tend to cling to, which includes old movies, classic cars and rockabilly style Kustom Kulture.
This new urban-style location will also pave the way for everything VinylmationTM. Considered one of the flagship stores for Vinylmation figures, D Street will showcase the latest releases from the various collections, including the Park Series, Urban Series, Holiday Series and more. Designed by the creative talents from our Disney Design Group, Disney Vinylmation takes on a whole new meaning in the world of collectibles. These 3" and 9" figures are often designed to represent icons, attractions and characters from Disney Parks & Resorts or have more of street feel with their urban-inspired looks.

Along with the opening of D STREET Disney will release a couple new Vinylmation series.
First is the Vinylmation Cutester series, to be released December 15th at Disneyland Resort, and soon after (date TBA) in Walt Disney World. Cutesters are like a “girly” version of the Vinylmations. 
Another series to be released on December 15th is Vinylmation Urban Series #3 , but only the 3 inch figures will be released. And as well, the series will be released in WDW short after (date TBA). 
The 9 inch figures for Urban Series 3 will NOT be released at the same time as the 3 inch figures, they will be released in January, when they will have the Artist Signing Party at WDW (date TBA).
